Some staff on the women and family and most male staff look down on clients, zero housing progams actually come from the mission, the amount of clients knowingly on drugs and alcohol allowed to stay Vs the number kicked out for harmless (didn't make bed, to many possessions, had food or beverage in room) is ridiculous and should be reversed, is nothing more than somewhere to sleep and exist between 4:30pm and 8:30am (you may shower and do laundry at Harmony house), and even then you have to walk a line to avoid severe negative consequences. How can one save money when 30% (but not more than $201.00 monthly) must be given to the city mission and if you ask for a receipt it's filled out as a "donation". The last i checked a donation was voluntary, to to continue to live somewhere.
I'm not staying Rn..boyfriend is but anyhow.. When I was there lights out was very strict.. And he's putting up with loud talk and music playing from other guys.. Not cool.. Hey staff do your fukn job.people need to rest too . not just u
This place can be great but as it is right now it needs a lot to be done 1 get rid of most of the staff 2 debug the place 3 get rid of the people who are there just to use it because they don't want to pay for normel rent. Like I said can be great with the right help. If shrrie woods would come talk to me or the news and got the right people to hear me they would know what I say is not a lie and I am trying to help.and the people they are saying good things about her work here and are using fake names so you don't know who they are but I do... So if you really would like to know the true things that go on here for real come see me I am here a lot and you all know me by now I hope? I don't lie and will not lie for any 1 or anything.
Who cares if the staff is on drugs I don't it's their life not yours they are their to help people they helped you didn't they most people are on something they all have problems in life to just like me or you yes sum are hateful but it's ok maybe they are going threw problems at home too don't be so quickly to judge it's better than living on the streets with your family be thankful someone is helping you cos it could be worst me and my family is going their for help now I'm not ashamed not at all I thank God me and my family will have some where to lay our head and some food to eat
It's better than nothing,but You won't get any sleep hardly if you work ecening shift.I suggest if you must stay there,get a day job,not nights.
