Just want to give a big thanks to all our hard working and dedicated police force here in beautiful Huntington WV. You guys work so diligently and put your lives on the line. Its really a shame that Huntington is almost as lawless as the wild west, that really puts an image about the HPD in your mind that isnt true. The police cant help that this place is rampant with crime and murder is a weekly thing. Also, I know everyone is really upset that all kinds of people are getting killed left and right and the HPD has really made a very minimal amount of progress on several of those cases but I want to give them an A for effort. Im sure we would have an increased police presence dowtown to help curb the violence if there were officers available but with budget cuts and the need for Huntington police to provide security detail to the local speedways and taco bells just arent enough officers to go around.
