This campground has excellent WIFI. Bathroomd and showers are real nice and very clean. I have stayed here on 3 diffreny occasions. All sites are grass and pull though. Owners are extremely nice and remembered me
Eclectic is the word here. Reminiscent of the old family owned marinas on the Chesapeake Bay. Its a little community that's more than willing to invite newcomers. Nice little restaurant thst has the same atmosphere. No pool no Wi-Fi but comfortable none the less. Restrooms were clean. People were nice.
A nice little park that met our needs perfectly! We had a pull thru, sites are gravel. Park is simple but ok. Full hookup, fair price. On an airstrip where they do skydiving on weekends and there's a small restaurant that is open Thurs-Sun. There is a train that came by too.
First of all I love the restaurant and the airfield. I have visited many times. I figured I would see about putting my motor home at the rv park attached to the airport. Figured it would be nice while flying in and out to have a place to hang out, rest or have my family wait while I'm bringing friends home during events. I called and asked about long term rental. It would have been nice since I fly also. She was rude and somewhat confused and asked if I was traveling or working in the area. I said yes, I live and work in a neighboring town. She said oh no we only rent to traveler's and said good bye very nasty without even letting me explain myself or the fact I actually own a plane. Well I will make sure to never fly close, eat at the restaurant ever again. I can't imagine the nightmare it would be staying there if the act like her.
Nice campground for a quick or extended stay on the river. It's very close to the railroad tracks which trains come through in the near future night. Good Sam's is accepted.
The reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 6 id because no picnic tables or fire pits.
